In my artistic practice, time does not function as a neutral framework within which the image emerges, but rather as an active force that participates in its formation. This exhibition brings together works from the last decade, in which gesture remains visible not as a technical trace, but as a temporal residue. Each work contains the memory of its own becoming: the hesitations, decisions, ruptures, and reconstructions that shaped it.
Art historian Maria-Moscha Karatzoglou notes:
In her second solo exhibition, consisting primarily of wall-mounted paintings, the multidisciplinary visual artist Eleni Kolliopoulou explores two concepts already signaled in the title: fermentation and time, as well as their interweaving (Fermenting Time). In terms of style, abstraction predominates, accompanied by an indistinct yet discernible evocation of biomorphic motifs. These motifs flow freely through a sequence of associations, finding balance within compositions that maintain a subtle and mutually permeable equilibrium between the intuitive and the calculated.
